Guide to InterRailing in Europe

Interrail Europe

What is InterRail?

InterRail is a pre-paid pass that entitles you to flexible train travel throughout Europe on its national rail networks. The system was set up in the 1970s to encourage young adults (up to 26 years old) to explore the continent on a budget, but its success has led to its extension to travellers of all ages.

The InterRail pass is available for all European residents but a similar pass, Eurail, is available for non-EU residents.
